Cribb Consulting Ltd is a West Auckland based Consulting Engineering Practice providing Structural Design, Drafting and Consultation Services.

...our experience

Director Carlton Cribb hails from the UK where he originally trained as a structural draftsman before studying to become an engineer in the mid 1990’s. He has 20+ years experience working across a diverse and wide range of projects for Consulting Engineers in the UK, Australia and New Zealand. Carlton holds a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours, BEng(Hons) and is a Chartered Member of Engineering New Zealand, CMEngNZ, Chartered Professional Engineer, CPEng, and International Professional Engineer, IntPE(NZ).

We offer a full structural design, drafting and construction monitoring service from initial feasibility/conceptual stage through to Code Compliance Certificate application. If required we are able to carry out the Building Consent stage of a project and act as the property owner's agent. We also have in-depth experience in the seismic assessment and strengthening of existing buildings.

We believe that the efficient and successful delivery of a project is reliant on good communication between the various team members, throughout the design and construction process. From early engagement with the Client and Architect, through a timely and reactive working relationship with the contractor during the implementation phase of the project.

What We Do

Cribb Consulting Ltd offers the following structural engineering services

Residential

We offer a full range of structural design services for your residential needs including; new builds, additions and alterations, decks, retaining walls and landscaping features, and swimming pools. We will forge a close working relationship with your Architect to ensure an efficient integration of structure with architectural vision.

Commercial & Industrial

We offer a range of experience across the low-medium rise commercial and industrial marketplace. From the design of large span portal frame buildings to the restraint of engineering systems within multi-story buildings. To ensure your construction costs are minimized we focus on achieving design efficiencies.

Seismic Assessments

We are experienced in the provision of seismic assessments to both the ISA (Initial Seismic Assessment) and DSA (Detailed Seismic Assessment) levels. If you know the level of assessment you require or simply wish to have a chat regarding what level may be best for your needs then please get in touch.

Seismic Strengthening

Conceptual and detailed design of seismic strengthening for earthquake prone and earthquake risk buildings. We are familiar with the `Building (Earthquake-prone Buildings) Amendment Act 2016’ and are able to advise property owners on their responsibilities for future seismic strengthening and upgrades.

Peer Review

We are approved Auckland Council Producer Statement, PS2, Peer Review authors. If your design and construction project requires a professional engineering peer review and certification as part of a consenting process (or for internal due-diligence) please get in touch to see what we can offer.
